Choose a Phone Mount and Position It Carefully

Check both sides of compatibility: the mount must fit the vehicle, and the holder must accommodate the phone with its case attached. Leave space for charging connectors and normal adjustment.

Compare mounting locations from the driver’s seated position. A dashboard or A-pillar location is not automatically suitable. Keep the phone and cables clear of sightlines, controls, and airbag deployment areas. Follow the vehicle manual and the mount manufacturer’s instructions.

Test the installation while parked. Confirm that the phone is retained and the mount does not loosen when adjusted. Stop using a mount that moves unexpectedly.

Set navigation before moving and make adjustments only when safely parked. A phone holder does not make interacting with a phone while driving safe.
