Treat the surface finish as carefully as the plastic beneath it. Painted, plated, printed, and textured parts may require different care even when the base material is ABS.
Remove loose grit gently, then use a soft cloth and a cleaner approved for the specific finish. Test an inconspicuous area first. Avoid abrasive pads and unapproved solvents.
Do not assume a restorer intended for bare black plastic is suitable for a painted or patterned accessory. Check the care-product label and accessory instructions before applying it.
After cleaning, inspect edges and attachment points for lifting, cracking, or looseness. Stop using a part that could detach and contact support if you need help identifying an appropriate remedy.
